Unhappy Murphy's gone

It was a sad Thanksgiving for us, we had to put our little Yorkie to sleep. We had about 13 good years with her. Murphy and her brother boated with us every year since they were puppies. They went most places with us, COPS runs, SOTW and LEOPA poker runs. One of the funny things about Murphy is she loved beer. We made the mistake of leaving a can on the floor of our boat while we went for a swim, she knocked it over and downed it. By the time we returned home she was quite tipsy, she started to wobble down the deck of our sea wall, and before we had a chance to pick her up, she fell in! From then on we learned to keep the full cans off the floor.

We will miss her dearly, but will always remember her.

Here are a couple of our favorite boating pics of her

I'm very sorry for your loss. Pets are an amazing part of the family. How is her sibling taking it?

My parents just put down their 14 year old mini yorkie, his name was bear. They miss him. they had him cremated and put in a vase over the fireplace.

My sad story.

during the day he is fine, especially when getting treats At night they had always slept together in the laundry room, now each morning just before dawn he starts to bark, and he is leaving little puddles in there as well. Poor little guy even thought he is a little bigger he is a year younger, he use to lay his chin on her back when they slept. For a few days her food dish was on the floor and he would stand behind it. He has always been attached to me by the hip and follows me constantly so that keeps him busy during the day.

Sorry for your loss...

We just put down our 11 year old Greyhound three weeks ago.

We rescued her from a track in Florida and had 8 + happy years with her.

We miss her terribly and I know how you feel.......

I am sorry to hear that you have lost a family member. They are so special to so many of us and truely are family members. In time you will feel a bit better and your memories will become more vivid and you will feel blessed to have had them in your lives.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I got to meet Donna, Ian and these two little hams at SOTW this year. All I can say is these two little guys didn't want for much. They were spoiled rotten and I'm sure you will miss her a great deal.
