My Promax 300's have been solid. I've heard great things about the X's. I would go with the 300Xs.

This was your first year with it right? I was planning on a bigger boat, Top Gun or the Apache in classifieds. Went and looked at the Apache, made an offer which was not accepted. Ended up ordering a couple prochargers for my Scarab. Maybe some of the prices will come down on the Guns this time next year.

Hey Bern...Don't want to sound like a heretic...BUT...Take a GOOD look at the new YAMAHA 300 V-MAX/HPDI...BEST lower unit, BEST corrosion protection, BIGGEST displacement, BEST built, MOST innovative, MOST fuel efficient, KOOLIST looking, LOWEST cost 300 H.P. out there...Let the dart throwing begin...

WHAT !!! A YAMADOGGER !!!!! WHY I NEVER< #&*$%*!!!! I've got a Yamaha 200 V-Max on my flats boat and never had a seconds problem out of it in 250 hours. Yamaha builds a good motor but for a performance boat ??????? Would you put your fathers white wall tires on a corvette????? Dave
