My first boat race
I went to this race with my family when i was 10 years old.This is the reason i am a performance boat motorhead today.Can anyone guess when and where this was?

I would guess that was the race that was held in Freeport, NY in 1979.It was known as the Guy Lombardo Classic, right?...I think "Flap Jack" owned by Howard Quam won Open Class.

Great pictures..I figured it had to be Freeport because I know you are from LI.I think everyone would like to a race or two on LI again....as you know there have been so many great race teams from there.

OK, since Waterboy got this right, lets see if he (or any one else knows) this Trivia question: Rocky Aoki borrowed a boat to race a San Fransico Race and stuffed it, busting off the bow, what was the name of the boat that Rocky borrowed, and what make was it??
