Question Will I ever get this boat?

Just had to vent!!!
Anyone able to transport a trailer that is stuck in South Carolina to Long Island and return to Virginia with my new boat (98 Formula 312). I have just bought my first performance boat and it's starting to look cursed. Closed a month ago......I already had a 40 ft trailer and went to pickup the boat. Trailer was t-boned on the way and totaled. When the ins. co. went to look at it several days later it had been stolen!!! I then had to drive from Va. to NJ to fill out a stolen vehicle report (can't do that over the phone!) The next week went to NJ for Thanksgiving and offered to pay trailer manufacturer extra to get me the trailer before Thanksgiving so I could pick up my boat while I was there. They couldn't, but the transporter was able to price a round trip with the boat on the trailer back to Va at a price I was happy with. I'm supposed to get the boat Friday night (tonight) but got a call yesterday because of a 24 hour delay...Got another call 5 minutes ago, the truck caught fire in SC and he doesn't know when he will be back on the road. Kinda hoping to test run this thing one time, but will it ever get here!

Look at it this way. Your new boat wasn't involved in either one of these mishaps. It's not T boned and it's not on fire Thats good luck!

T500--

Call Ken Andrews at (910)617-3685. He is a transporter. Tell him you know me (Bill Bartus at Silver Coast) and it's an emergency (if it is). If he can't get it I will send a truck if you want and store it inside at my place in Myrtle Beach if you need to.

Let me know.

buyafountain---thanks for the offer, another member offered help as well. When i spoke to the transporter about cancelling his trip and getting someone else he suddenly had a lead on a replacement starter. Apparently the truck didn't catch fire, the starter "melted" and had smoke rolling out from under the hood. I'm starting to think he may have just wanted to stay home for the weekend???? More to come as I know something.
