The new ones are always pricey to cover the design cost. Try one of these. http://www.surefire.com/G3L http://www.surefire.com/6P-Led

Not sure about a 6 cell Mag or most common in price range but I can find out pretty easy and let you know. As a side note surefire has a new sister company called ICON that are fairly small and alot more affordable not nearly as bullet proof but..... |

Right now the hot one is the LX2. It's 2 stage 200 lumens on high and 15 lumens low. More info on the Titan: Another reason for it's price is it a true a variable output light 0 to 70 lumens and everything in between. Look on the bright side when the original Titan T1 not T1A came out it was $500.00. It had a true titanium casing and a real crystal lens. |
Saw this on ebay.

Interesting thread.......
I bought a radio (set in a model of the Mark Twain paddle steamer) in 1974. Nothing special, just a gimmick. Cost about $5 from memory. Didn't use it much and pulled it out of the cupboard in1989 to give it away and it still worked! One 9v battery, no leakage and worked fine. The battery brand was a 'Berec' and I heard a story that Eveready bought the Berec battery company just to stop them making batteries that last indefinitely! RR |
