It's a good thing the bird was not in Florida. If that would have been the case, they would have made everyone move out of the building so they would not endanger the bird. Is that not the case with the Manatee

Oh, I forgot, this is a building where celeb's live. They want to save the animals unless it has a negative impact on them. Sorry for the confusion

H2o, you hit the nail on the head. Hypocrites, thats all they are, they want to save the world at our expense but heaven forbid if it is a direct threat to their worthless self being it has to go. God help us if they decide they can't breath the same air as us. I say build the new home then tear down the old. This way they would not scatter across the City and make it a problem for dozens of buildings. See how fast they reacted? This was so no one could challenge them. The old saying goes: It is easier to ask for forgiveness after the fact than ask permission before. I thought the Hawks were introduced as a measure to control the Pigeons?

It's getting out of hand here. Rallies are going on. Bars are sponsoring hawk friendly happy hours. It's nuts. The building had some legitimate concerns but went about it in the wrong way. Now, it appears that the state, city and federal governments are going to study the problem with the building residents and come up with a solution. Thus, our tax dollars are going to be spent coming up with some flawed, but expensive solution so that the hypocrite liberals can feel good about what they did. We need to stop the madness.

I'm sure the hawks will be fine if we leave it alone already. Usually red hawks build nests in new locations every year. Also, once a nest is destroyed hawks rarely rebuild as they seem to interpret the destruction as a sign that the nest is not safe any more. So, they may rebuild the nest but the hawks most likely will build somewhere else anyway. Let the hawks decide where they want to live and then let's figure out a way to let them do so without creating a safety hazard or creating a problem that could get them evicted.
