From Progressive's website:

The following watercraft types, operators or usage are not eligible for Progressive Direct's Watercraft Program.

Maximum speed greater than 90 mph on bass boats, greater than 70 mph on all other watercraft.

What is more stable...An 89 mph Bass boat or a 72 mph, 10,000lb performance boat

We are through State Farm. They have insured all the boats I have had.

Progressive and a few others I have applied for online stop as soon as I get to the engine option. Triples are not easily insured.

I wouldn't risk my A$$ and everything I've worked for to save a lousy few hundred dollars on an insurance policy that probably isn't worth the paper it's written on. It's just not worth the risk. I called Sy and got the real stuff! It only costs a few dollars more to go first class!

Thanks for all the advise. Bob Luellen has reached out to me to see what can be done and I will give him the chance. I've had great service from Bob and Progressive and he deserves the business.

If nothing can be done, I will be reaching out to some of the others listed in this thread.

Progressive denied the only claim I ever made with them on my boat. Had some thing stolen off the boat... they actually sent an investigator to my neighborhood and inquired with my neighbors about my lifestyle, integrity, etc... Bugged my nearest neighbor twice... I called them, told them off, and cancelled my policy. I will never deal with them again. I've never had my integrity questioned before... and it was only for about $500 worth of stuff.... if that! Bunch of phuctards if you ask me.

quote:"just a reminder ! The auto insurance carriers that write boat insurance as a sideline do not provide marine liability(protection and indemnity) 10 coverages that deal with maritime law.they call their liability(watercraft liability) which only provides coverage fpr property damage and personal property"

Huh? Geez I feel like a dumbas%. What the heck does that mean? I have progressive coverage on a 20 ft bowrider...prertty darn slow as compared to most here at a blazing 53 mph. But still worried because I worry about things I don't know about..
