Looking for a deal on a trailer

I'm gonna vote nay. I don't think company communiation would have gotten any better, but I honestly have had no need to contact them. Eduardo (I think was his name) is the only guy to talk to there that speaks English (no offense meant). And I still don't like the way they build/cut the I-beams. You need to have your main I-beams go all the way to the transom of your boat, to support the main bunks. Rocket cuts the I-Beams off right behind the axles, and extends wooden bunks a ways past them. Over time the wood will sag, allowing cracking of the wood, and eventually hull deformaties. The first bunks on my trailer were not even long enough to extend to the transom; the boat hung off by almost a foot. This is PARAMOUNT for a sound trailer setup, to keep from developing any hook in your hull over time. They also did not have any forward bunk support on my trailer. I had to add forward bunk supports, as the weight of the entire front of the boat was resting on the bow stand. Understand these forward bunks are optional when you build the trailer, and they can build your I-beams the way you want on a custom build. However, I would just give my money to someone who does it right from the get-go.
Come to think of it, its kinda like the Fountain School of Trailer Building.
Just kidding!!!

My 2 cents: I have a 4000 lb boat on a t tandem "aluminum slide-on" built by a company called "Owens and Sons". They are built locally here in the Tampa Bay area. I dunno much about Myco other than the very good things I read here so I can't compare to those, but I am very pleased with the tailer Owens and Sons built for me. MUCH better than any other "off the shelf" ones I looked at and about same $$. All stainless hardware, CRES disks and a custom built for your boat.

Hey Bob,
Well it seems that I can get a brand new Rocket or Continental aluminum trailer with brakes on one axle for a little over $2000.00.
I can't seem to find a better deal so far, unless I go used, which I wouldn't mind, but I can't find any good used trailers.
Any help would be appreciated...
Chris

Sean H,
I talked with Fred, what a great guy, he said he can get me one, but I should call Allison directly and cut him out since he is the middle man.
You have to love the world of boating since it contains people like that who are out to help you and not screw you.
Thanks Too Old.
