I still think it would be cool to have a place to post questions about financial/business stuff without digging through apache and name calling threads, although if some business went bad in there, those might be even worse threads.

I come to this site because the members here know boats.
And I trust(a good amount of) the info I get here.
I also like to hear your opinions, cuz many of us own very cool boats.

The Financial Forum is a good idea......but moderating it would have to be done very carefully and it probably would end up not being a good thing for the board. Too much potential controversy and "unlawful" posts. Just my .02

As far as "unlawful" discussions are concerned...I think "pump and dump" type of discussion is illegal if you are a board member or affiliated with the direct infrastructure of the business i.e. Reggie gets on here and tells us his stock is going to sky rocket and then it tanks. As far as the general public conversing about a certain stock ...I don't think thats illegal. There are hundreds of Finchial discussion board already in practice. i.e. www.financhialchat.com. My thought behind this discussion board is the fact OSO has a large number of members that are very successful. Maybe they don't touch the market. Maybe they made it big in realestate, Venture Capital etc. etc. This discussion board would be "well-Rounded" . No Politacal B.S. Just "helpful hints".
