i think humpy has done it all, i think he sold real estate for awhile, then was in charge of the nascar track in charlotte, i even think he has been responsible for some of the safety things that have been happening in the last couple years... bascially he is a nascar guy....

Wheeler is also a USC alum. and played football for the gamecocks many many years ago. I like any redneck who donates $$$ to our football program.

So what exactly makes him a redneck. Is it because he is involved in Nascar, or maybe because he lives in Charlotte. Or maybe you call him a redneck because he is a self made millionaire. You know what I bet there is a lot of rednecks on this board. I am far from a millionaire but I do enjoy Nascar, and I do live in Charlotte, and guess what I have a truck does that make me a redneck. What part about any of this makes being a redneck a bad thing?

I've met him. He treated me like he'd known me forever. I found him to be a man who went out of his way to be nice when he didn't have to. It was his track, his skybox (if you can stoop to call it that), his buffet, and his show - he didn't have to even acknowledge that I was there.

Course most rednecks may be too stupid to know they can act rude and self absorbed like most Northern scum (not to be confused with Northern gentlemen)...

Most southerners are proud to be called a redneck, because anyone who calls them that has no idea it is a compliment. Rednecks are hard workers who put family and country first.

Excuse me...but did I call everyone from the south a redneck? NO!!!!! Why does everyone from the south get upset when someone says the word redneck? It's nuts. Also, the reality is that the crowds at a nascar event are a little different from those found at the Key West Poker Run, correct?

Everyone is getting very sensitive lately. Is it the holiday stress? It's like sitting at a bar and someone asks the question and you reply with a smart-ass response. Next thing you know we have a bar brawl going. Jeez.

Ya - they are alot friendlier at a nascar race. But if your referin to the "class" of people at a nascar race, ticket prices are too expensive for the "average" fan. My Key West trip cost less than my Bristol trip every year and the partyin at Bristol is better. :drink:
