I've had good luck making them out of "starboard". Cut two pieces, an upper and a lower, then bolt them in. I've seen some other boat manufacturers do this and it comes out pretty nice. Starboard is pretty easy to work with, you can sand the sides, then quickly hit the edges with a torch to make them shiny.

I made some out of starboard too.

what is starboard? is that the brand name...? are you talking about diamond plate?

Its plastic that comes in 4x8 sheets like plywood.

Uhhh, those sure are some small fenders for a boat the size of an outerlimits.

Since they have such cheap paint jobs most of them dont worry about fenders!
