This was the Rio Roses race boat done by Skater which Cigarette made the mold off of for the new 45 Maximus.

Outsourcing seems to be the new trend in boat building these days, Dragon outsources the almost all facets of the process .... I heard Chief had a similar program going . I'm sure there are benefits to this ... Obviously, if you've got a brand X .... built up at Douglas ... people will react positively to that ,one would think . However , the one aspect I would have reservations about is the accountability factor. When something is not quite right , there isn't ONE "go to guy" to make the problem go away ? Just my .02 . When my **** goes bad (and they ALL do) I want to make 1 phone call and have it taken care of .
