I think the center pod is a lot less pronounced than in the earlier designs. We had a '89 27' Daytona with 2 502's. The center pod was as deep as the two sponsons and about 18" wide. Man what a hard ride! Almost like a flat bottom.

How much power? What kind of speed does it run? Is it sold? What did it sell for? I'm only asking because I really want to buy a 33 Daytona next year. I love the newer style tops with the canopies. Eliminator has come a long way. There new 38" vee bottom with the canopies is an awesome looking boat. I've seen a couple in person and they are just beautiful. I dont know if I would want to deal with insuring a cat, I may look at the vee instead or a 38' Top Gun. Probably a year old or so.........
