My boat made it to AUSTRIA!!!
 

Sold the boat to a gentleman from Austria. It was quite an ordeal to get the boat shipped, but after a couple of months, it finally made it. Thanks to Brad Fortney at The Boat Brokerage for putting the seller in touch with me and to Todd at Ada Logistics for handling the transport to FL efficiently and smoothly. :cool: Here are some pics:

Actually, I wasn't concerned. He came over to look at the boat, checked it out stem to stern (several hours in the boat over two days), and he didn't ask me to "send the overage by wire to Nigeria". :D

Not sure, but I think it was about 4k. LOA was 38'. Width was 9'2". Wt was 9200# being overly cautious. Wouldn't fit in a container or it wouldn't have been so much. Transport to and from the ship isn't included.

At this time I'm searching for ideas for painting the boat. I want something with red, maybe a flame design but not too intrusive. Has someone pics for me?

Now that I think of it, there hasn't been a problem with an Austrian that I can remember in the last 60 years. They had one bad egg. He was just famous.
I think that Austrians are among the top shelf of Europeans.

where do you plan on boating? my brother-in-law is from austria and still has family there. he wonders where you'd be allowed to use the boat as most of the lakes are very small...

Did you see that article in I believe it was the Yacht trader that just came out about Sea Ray overnighting a 60 footer to someone overseas. They had to use some Russian built cargo jet.
