Mark Bishop uses a Finite Element Analysis program to help assist with mathematical calculations to design laminate schedules for the manufacturers, which is an excellent place to start, but the failure of past race boats & what caused the failure is another excellent tool to help with the structural design. Load cases? Is that what I was trying to ask about when I was picturing one of these hull slamming back down into the water from about 8 feet in the air while traveling at close to 100 mph?

I would love to see some accelerometer data from a boat running 100+ in 5'ers. I'm sure it would be impressive. |

I have been working with doug over the past year on a new 28' cat and I can say that all of his input has been great. Rob king did all of the style work and doug did the rest we are goona be cutting the plug as soon as the 38' is done I will post some renderings of it soon
