The 38' Aero Speed Marine is built in a three piece mold that spits at the keel.

Calculating stress is the easy part. Determining the load cases is the tricky and not always intuitive part. May I ask how the load cases are determined?

Load cases? Is that what I was trying to ask about when I was picturing one of these hull slamming back down into the water from about 8 feet in the air while traveling at close to 100 mph?

Yep, I believe so.
I would love to see some accelerometer data from a boat running 100+ in 5'ers.
I'm sure it would be impressive.

Has anyone ever done any CFD on any of these hulls?
It's something I play around with in my spare time. Interesting results...

Computational Fluid Dynamics- I'll let one of the more experienced guys explain it.

I'm going to school right now for Naval Architecture, and I only hope to know half of what these guys know about design and rigging when I graduate.

I have been working with doug over the past year on a new 28' cat and I can say that all of his input has been great. Rob king did all of the style work and doug did the rest we are goona be cutting the plug as soon as the 38' is done I will post some renderings of it soon
