Default Anyone do Loans in Maine?

I am building a houes in Maine and I am looking for a loan. Does anyone on the board do loans in Maine? I have a credit score that is over 700. The hardest part for me will be that I am self employeed......

Jon, there are several mortgage programs that do not require proof of income. Surprisingly they don't rape you on the rates either. Try Washington Mutual, that's who we were going through to refinance our house until I got sabatoged by an "underling" at my bank. Long story to that and don't want to get in it again. Bottom line is "self employment" is not a barrier anymore. I can refer you to a "mid management" employee of a bank in Bar Harbor if that's any help to you. I would probably try one of the "major" players first though. They usually have more customized programs. Russ

I iam getting close to doing the same thing .. I am self employed and only started my business 6 months ago.. Credit score is 760 and ive been told I can do a no doc loan and they are usualy 1 point higher than a secure loan.. Im basicaly going to triple the size of my house verticaly.. Jack it up full foundation under and take the roof off and add a master + bath over ..
