Here was a photo from one of the newspapers covering the Point Pleasant Beach race.

We started from dead last postion. The offshore waters were big, so I decided to keep us in along the beach. As everyone outside of us were launching to the sky from deep ground swells, we seemed to have a calmer area along the beach. I told our driver Rich to watch out for the surfers....He said "What surfers?" I showed him this pic the next day. ;)

This is what SHOCKWAVE looked like when Joe Calabro owned it. The boat ran great and was well dialed in as far as I know. Then the engine builder convinced Rich to change the entire setup after he himself set the boat up with Finish Line. If you notice in the photos, Shock Wave had speedmasters put on it and went from small bocks to big blocks...
I don't know why the sudden change once it switched owners? :confused:

It was the 32 in the pic Sharkey posted.It had probably 468s 9.5 comp.probably 625HP per side.
