Agree with Go4Broke. Even though they fall in the same class, the 31SS is hands down a better all around boat. Cabin, capabilities, style, features. I think the only downside between them would be comparing the width of the cockpit, as the Baja is wider due to the Sonic's walkrail.

If you want a pretty boat either will work, if you are a lake boater either will work, If you have any desire to go offshore at all, get the Sonic

31 sonic i had one and it handles the water great.

The 31 Sonic is hands down more boat in every aspect. The 30 Outlaw doesn't even have a real V-berth. It's just for storage.

I dont like the squared off looking bolsters in the 31. The cuddy looks cheap and squared off too.

if i had to choose between the 2 it would be sonic.
the slide out bed is a great idea.
surprised others havent copied it.
lotsa room for overnighting too.
probably easier to resell the sonic also. imho
