2004 Lake of the Ozarks results

Ok I know many on this board were at the Shootout this year. I am trying to find class winning speeds. If you won your class or know of class winning speeds Please add to this thread. I won the V3F2 (34 Phanton with 500 hp's) at a" Radar speed" of 83 GPS 87. I am thinking of adding power and that would put me in the V3M2 or V3P2 class. Trying to decide which class I would have a better chance at winning next year.

Tyson, it looks like your bow was too high!

Re: 2004 Lake of the Ozarks results

I was turning the props in at the shootout, the next weekend we switched the motors around so I could turn the props out to get more stern lift and it porpoised really bad, I probably need different props so i can turn the props in and not get so much bow lift.

Re: 2004 Lake of the Ozarks results

"B'yond Reason" won class C3P2 with a radar speed of 154mph{both of our GPS's had 160mph]. Also, received the fastest pleasure boat award for the 3rd straight year.Building a new boat for next year. "B'yond Rreason" is "For Sale".

Re: 2004 Lake of the Ozarks results

The radar was off both days. Saturday it was even more off. It all has to do with the angle of the gun to the target it is measureing.

Do you know how the new one is coming? Have not talked to him sense the shootout.

Re: 2004 Lake of the Ozarks results

I know V3P2 winning speed was 110 mph
( 33 scarab avs.)
I'm relatively certain V3M2 was 89 mph.
( I'll verify this tonight....the magazine listing
the winners is at home)

I won V2F2 at 82 mph

I knew something was wrong on Saturday,( while waiting
for my turn) when several of the boats that I recall seeing
run in the years past, were turning in speeds a minimum
of 5 mph off previous runs.

I was dogged 6 mph on the first run, 7 mph 2nd run.

Sunday, it was right on, both runs.

......Only 8 more months 'til this years shootout :drink:

Jeaston---New boat came out of the mold just before Christmas. We are looking to get it from Skater in June. Still have to complete rigging and install motors. Should be running around LOTO time. The boat is a 368 Skater race boat, single rudder with Arneson drives. Motors will be Twin Turbo-Charged producing slightly under 3000HP each.

As long as you are posing while screaming down the lane :D :D :drink: You need to come here for the Grand Slam PR and radar runs. Think the thread went to page 2.

Happy new year all i have been having major computer melt downs and havent got it iron out yet. im on the wifes work computer as a type. I won my class of V5F2 at 77 mph. it was a fun time but the wait between rounds sucked. i think summer obsession also won his class with his 29DCB.
