Looking for a used Eliminator 36 Daytona??

I'm looking for a year 2002-2005 Eliminator Daytona preferrably with 525's, but no more than 700 per side, no blowers. $225,000 limit.

The 28 is my boat and the 36 will be my fathers, which will be kept a loto. Time to let the outlaw go. Wouldn't really need to trailer the 28 all the way to lake if the 36 will be there.

Anyway, do you know of any used 36's?

Re: Looking for a used Eliminator 36 Daytona??

you really should look at the 36 spectre!! its a very cool boat and very fast. several awsome used boats with custom paint jobs are available.

my choice for a 36 in that price range.

Re: Looking for a used Eliminator 36 Daytona??

this boat is a 1 owner adult owned ,maintained by Precision marine. it's really clean and the price is right. there isn't a better deal imho for a 36 ft cat.

Re: Looking for a used Eliminator 36 Daytona??

Do you have a picture or is it the blue and yellow tear mark one on the precision marine site? 2001 is getting a little older than preferred, I'm sure it's a great boat though. The cockpit layout of the eliminator is preferred, very roomy, plenty of freeboard and not so exotic.

Randy at www. Fastboats.com has a 2003 36 priced right with your choice of power. click on show all listing then click on the 36 eliminator. it looks like a nice boat, price is 189k

I've been checking on that boat all last week. It's now in Wisconsin and has 625 efi's. Yes, cool boat. I talked to Randy, he had Arizona speed build the motors (pepped up 500's). Might try to get up there and take a look. Thanks for the tip.

Randy is a good person to deal with, he has sold several boats here in the Beaumont area, including a 2004 nortech 3600. good luck on the boat, sounds like a deal to me

I found one with only 6 hours, but the price is way out of line at $265k. What is this boat really worth? I was thinking more like $200k.

Yes, you're right (buyers market). The only problem is that I'm trying to sell a 36 Outlaw at the same time.

Hey, you're all over this forum and I see you're up on your boats, so what do you think would be a good buy on this particular boat?

There's an identical boat on traderonline for $200k, but it's clear in New York. Okla is much closer to Omaha area.

i don't think you are too far off at 200k maybe a little more if the 6 hours is right...

if you are not set on a 36 there is a nice 30 in iowa for 139K w/ 500's.....

Very nice, I think I've come across that one before. I think the 36 would be much more suitable for loto. I get beat up pretty good in the 28, so I don't think there would be much more benefit going to a 30 in my opinion. :D

What size is your Spectre?

At this point, all conditions have to be just right. I'm working against several factors. Need top $ for Baja and a fair price on the 36 to make this thing roll. The Baja doesn't have a trailer so that's an obstacle. I'm the one who does all the foot work here. The old man has no idea how to even run a computer and has no motivation when it comes to moving things, old school I guess. It still amazes me. :D

30'.... i think the 30-36 cat size is perfect for LOTO... i looked at that 30 daytona during the summer, had they dropped the price back then i probably would of bought it.... i think it was 159 or so then....

Where do you mainly run at loto? All over or do you have a favorite area?

We're at Crown Pointe @ 24 mm across from Paradise restaurant. We usually head towards the Fish when things are really stirred up.

Re: Looking for a used Eliminator 36 Daytona??

The 36 at Grand lake is a very nice Boat. Mac sold it to a guy from OKC and he never uses it. I have a 36 also that I have tossed around at selling it. It is a 03 with 500's. It has about 75 hours on it with a triple duelly axle trailer. The 36 at grand is about 30 miles from me. I have owned a 28 daytona and I really like my daytona. They are trailerable without permits and handle rough water very well. I have a 2 1/2 year old boy and my wife like's how well the boat rides and the baby can ride in the cabin and play while we are running fairly fast down the lake.

You might want to cantact Mike Flanigan at Lightning Bay Marine in Tampa Bay Fl. he is a good guy and a dealer for Eliminator. He has probably sold more 36's than any other dealer. I bought mine from him and he also get leads on used cats occasionally.
I think his e-mail is [email protected]

Give me a shout if I can be of any help

I just got off the phone with Mac from Grand lake and yes the boat has hardly ever been used. He explained the whole story behind the boat and the owner, very interesting. I've talked with Lightning Bay before, great guys, but FL is a long ways away. Do you have pics of your boat? Thanks for all the info. :D:

Re: Looking for a used Eliminator 36 Daytona??

Fountain38, While looking through some of your old posts I found that the insurance on your 36 is $4200 with no tickets or accidents through Markel. Didn't Markel switch to ACE? And if you don't mind me asking, are you in your 30's, 40's or 50's? We have our 28 Daytona through ACE at $750 a year under the elder of the two of us. What do you estimate an annual premium on your boat using a 60 yr old with no accidents or tickets?

Fountain38 01-04-2005 07:21 PM

Re: Looking for a used Eliminator 36 Daytona??

I turned 50 this year, but I was under the impression that right now Markel is the only insurance company insuring cats right now. I don't know the conection with Ace insurance. I just know its to dang much. Thats one reason I have considered selling my boat. I just hate paying so much for something that you use six months a year, and has a four month lay up period also. When you consider that you only use the boat so many weekends a year, its get really expensive. If you want to call me, let me know and I wil get you my cell phone. thanks

you guys might want to get in touch with tres martin... i believe he is a member of this forum... he is starting a boating safety school that when attended will substatially reduce your insurance rates... it is geared especially for the high hp cats and he is meeting with markel later on this month.
