The helicopter is actually my business partner's, it's a Robinson R44. You can watch us on TLC Rides this tuesday at 10 pm, or Sunday at 3pm. The show is about Mike Lavallee of killerpaint. He is the artist who is responsable for the fire on the vehicles, and they feature my boat, hummer, and my partner's helicopter.

Welcome beer truck! The used Robinson 162 choppers posted on Vortech in the 20 to 30 K range look awfully attractive to me, tempting to pick one up. I know they can be trailered and stuffed into a garage. How long will I live if I buy a used homebuilt helicopter? <gg>
Logically one would take the used chopper to the Robinson factory and have them go over it with a fine toothed comb before strapping yourself in. Any thoughts on that?

Hi everybody, my nane is Andrew and this thread is right up my alley.......im 21 and live in central wisconsin. Although im not as old and not as experienced as most of you i have been int he the performance offshore industry for about 2 years. I worked for a local marina that specialized in hi performance engine building and rigging in Oshkosh Wisconsin. Some of you guys may have heard of heard of it....Fox River Performance marine. We were (i speak in past tence only because i dont work there anymore) a Powerquest and fountain dealer. Its was a nice suprise to see someone start a post for the "lurkers" because ive been following the forums for about 6 months and love reading what you guys have to say on various subjects. I love reading the technical section as well as all the others and i can truthfully say i have learned a lot. I love performacnce boating and would like to pursue a career in marine repair, and/or sales someday. Unfortunatly for me its such a seasonal thing up here my options are limited. i know im rambaling, but i just got home from the bars and i dont have to work tomorow so you can guess what kind of a night it has been....please excuse my spelling and i look forward to talking with some of you guys in the future - Andrew
