Wow - thanks Ron - Dry Martini looks great!! As my dad mentioned earlier, we are doing the same thing to the Benihana/Spirit boat. The b&w pic. that I posted is the 36' but Dr. Bonomi raced both the 35 & 36 (you can see the difference in the engine hatches). Do you have any contact info. for Kurt? - I'd like to ask him a few questions. Also here's a couple of photos of Dry Martini at the Cigarette factory in '74 or '75...
I know that Ike is doing over the Mich. Light boat, there is this boat, and I think someone is restoring one of Betty Cook's old boats, and that Bertram that was in Powerboat a couple of months back(I think it's Preston Henn's old Natural Light)...wonder how many more of these restored boats are out there??

The Maltese Magnum #4 in post 42 is being restored as an original raceboat by my friend in Seattle Washington. He hopes to have it done this year, I'm sure he'll post pics when its done.

Great! - would love to see more of these be restored like collector cars.
Here's a great Bertram for you to go along with your previous post about the one on Ebay - Bill Wishnick in "Boss O Nova" about 1970-71...

Bill has a huge model of that boat sitting on his desk. I remember seeing that boat sitting behind what is now Lightning Jacks in Brick for years. It had straight inboard shafts, no drives.

Here's a bunch from the 1978 Benihana. My parents got a bunch of good ones from the shore and helicopter as my dad was still awaiting his open class boat (Top Banana) to be built in '78 and had already sold his 24' Modified class boat which raced as Gone Bananas here...
