Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
This event will be fantastic !! We just announced it and have had a huge response.
COPS has members in 5 states in the Midwest. Details with Poker Runs America are being hammered out and we will post details very soon. The initial run plan will have stops in 2,possibly 3 states... |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
Chi-Town....... I spoke to a few of the local hot rod boaters here on the lake and mentioned this to them. So far everyone that I mentioned this to, gave a positive commitment for that date.

It's nice to see Poker Runs America making a return to Chicago. I know you and the board of directors have been hard at work to make 2005 a great season for all of us boaters on the Southern shores of Lake Michigan. I am looking forward to all the changes for 2005!!!! It's going to be a great year. Dan |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
Sounds like a fun time, I'm in for that for sure!! What day is everybody going to the Chicago boat show??
Jason |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
Just go to the Grand Sport Marine booth, where the new 39 Cig will be displayed. There will be a bunch of us there. Also we will have a table with a large tv playing all the footages from all the Chicago Offshore events. We will be there everyday....Frank

Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
It is allot easier to get more done when there is a great team of people putting projects together. No one person can do everything themselves. Even with a team of people it still is very difficult to get everything done. I can not believe how much work and money is involved to get very simple things completed. The entire boating community has been great to work with and I would like to thank everyone.

Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
We are new to COPS, but you can count on us for any help you may need. I will stop by the booth on Wednesday and say 'hello'! We are marking our calendar for the run!

Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005

|
Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
No official stops or distance yet. Needs to be worked out with Bill Taylor and Larry Boyd. First we set the date and then work out the details as quickly as possible. The info will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
Sounds grea! We'll have to take the whole week off and do both. :evilb: I'll do my part to bring on global warming by burning mass quantities of fossil fuels. :D :D

Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
Hey Brad, glad to hear you coming. You are about the 10th cat comfirmed coming. I have the smallest of motors at 900hp. Bill Taylor and Larry Boyd said that Extreme Exhibit will most likely come. Other big Nortechs are confirmed too. Still working out the details.
How many projects are you working on now? Mark Smith |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
Did the guys a Modern Marine confirm? When I talked to them on Wed, it sounded like all you guys had to do was stop by thier booth again.
|
Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005

Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
Mark,
Last winter I converted a two seat 25' Warlock Cat race boat with twin O/B into a full interior pleasure boat. Just our family cruiser boat that runs 105 mph. This winter the Motion is being re-rigged. Carbon Fiber dash and trim everywhere. New dry sump sixes. Aetco is building some killer 600cid motors. Dry sump and 16:71's blowers. Should make big power on race gas. I switched to deep sump Huber transmissions from the B&M two speeds which were my weak link. Those two speeds were real nice for docking and planning off. Basically it will be a new boat when finished to match the new Myco trailer. Keeps me real busy most nights in the garage. Send me some info on COPS. Brad |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005

Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
I am right next door to Munson's old house. Give me a call on my cell (you have). I have both boats in my garage at home. I would be happy to have you visit. Fred filled me in on his new toy last summer. 32 Skater with twin 1400's. He is not happy with his Eliminator. I did not realize the wait from Skater was that long. I would just a used one and setup it up.
Hopefully we will have good water for the Poker Run. Last time we were on Lake Michigan the fastest the waves would allow us to go was 60 mph. Ten foot swells so big it would swallow the boat. I must pick the wrong times to go because it seems to be rough when I go out. |
Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
Where will it be out of?
|
Re: The Chicago Poker Run 2005
It will start out a Robert Pastrick because of the great facilities and then head downtown Chicago. The run has to be approved by Bill Taylor.
