<SWOOON !!!>
That's the one that I heard went to Phil, and was sold quick. 496mag HOs' Supposedly a true mid 70s' boat. Not sure what it sold for.
I'm thinking I love just about everything about this boat, other than I couldn't buy it...
Thanks for helping me out Troutly!
first round, (or 2) is on me.

I would go as big as you can afford without getting into something to old. I went from a 32 Sunsation to a 35 Lightning this past summer & was surprised there was that noticeable difference in ride quality. Lots of used 35 Fountains floating around - fast hull with reliable power. my .02

Gordo
You said you have looked at Powerquest but you should look again and ride in them. I go to LOTO 5 to 6 times a year and the 29 I had took the big water (holiday weekends) good, not great but good, a 30 step bottom would be better, but if you can find a nice 34 that would be the way to go. they are out there in your price range. To give you a heads up my 2000 29' PQ with 7.4 (68.6 gps) was only worth 55,000.00 in real money on a triple axle eagle trailer and that was according to 5 different dealers, so you sould be able to get one for around 60,000.00.
Sunsation builds a great boat and in the Ozarks they take the water great.
Cigs are awsome but man what they want for them
Nordic I cant say I dont know but they build a good looking boat
Fountain why pay more money for a name when you can buy a Sunsation for less and get as good if not a better boat. (I know the fountain boys wont agree but oh well)
Baja well they are every where down in the Ozarks as I'm sure you've noticed.

Oh well Gordo I wish you the best on your decision, I'm sure you will find the right toy GOOD LUCK.

Have you checked on it? I know of a 30ft cat that needs to be rigged. Perfect for you.

Gordo, have you considered the 32 Hustler? It's a well-built, stable, stepped bottom boat that should see 80+ with stock power and come in at your price range. Another one I would consider would be a slightly older 33 Donzi ZX. An earlier one should get you close to your top speed on stock power, for what you want to spend. With a few tweaks, you should be right where you want to be and still stay under the budget. Otherwise, the Powerplay and AT are both great choices if you can find one with 500s that hasn't been run too hard.
