If you want a cool place to stay on Captive you can stay at Tween Waters. Been there a couple time in last year and always have great time. (i have not been there since the summer of sh*tty weather though so I dunno how fixed it is. I heard South Seas Plantation got it really bad, but that was not my kinda place anyhow. Another good place for eats is lazy flamingo is also not fancy but clean and great food.

I second what mneal said! Tween Waters on Captiva is a great place-live entertainment every night, boat ramp, and all Hurricane damage has been fixed! Only a short cruise to Cabage Key, Ft Myers Beach, or Sanibel. This whole area has well marked deep water channels.
Try the Conch Fritters at the Lazy Flamingo!

If your'e looking for property and a place to keep your boat, Cape Coral is the best choice. 1200 miles of canals. I like Snug Harbor on FMB and they have plenty of docking. I like Grandma Dots too but they don't care too much for those noisy boats.
