Ford to recall 792,000 F-150 pickups, SUVs (F) By Heather Wilson
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Ford Motor Co. (F) said Thursday that it is voluntarily recalling 792,000 sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks for possible fire risk, which is related to the under-the-hood speed control switch. The automaker said that it will notify owners of model year 2000 Ford F-150s, Ford Expeditions, Lincoln Navigators, and 2001 Ford F-Series Supercrews. Ford said that it is working with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to investigate the issue.
