About 10 years ago the marina was selling gas for $169.9. I thought I would never pay that that ever! Much cheaper filling up on land. Dont we all wish it was $169.9 ?

I was about to pull into a gas station the other day and at this one local station there is only one lane with a deisle pump. So I am waiting for a guy to pull out so I can pull in and this guy in a car pulls around me and starts to fill up. I get out and say hay man I was going to pull into there you mind pulling back out. He just looks at me and goes on starting to fill up his car. I pull right up to his bumper and grab the rope that I have in my truck and walk up and start to tie it to my truck all the while saying either you can move it now or I will happily tow your **** box out of hear Did not realize I was that stressed out that day, ussually would never do something like that....

now thats funny....here's mine not about gas though. Went to the inner harbor in Balt and docked at the Rusty Scupper. Went to the dockmasters office to see if there was a fee, office was empty. went upstairs to drink and eat, asked if it was ok that we docked, they said no problem as long as you are using our facility. went to the 3rd floor had a blast spent over 90 bucks in an hour or so on drinks and burger..?.. Went down got in boat and as we are leaving a long haired homeless looking guy came up from nowhere rubbing his fingers together for money, just figured he was homeless as inner harbor has a few of em... on the way out I see another 311 surrounded by police, next thing I know they come over to me, and ask if we were just at the Rusty Scupper, told them yea, and they wanted us back, So we idle back in about 20 mins, (6mph), and this homeless guy is standing there now he has on a Rusty scupper shirt he wanted his dock fee, so on the weekend of the fells point festival he ties up 3 cop boats for, get this...a 5 dollar dock fee, I lit into him about why he changed shirts, his hair was so long and nasty that he looked homeless, raggedy pants, my buddy was standing next to him, and I yelled give em 10 and tell him to get a haircut, about that time the cops started laughing. as we were idling back out I apologized to the police for that idiot taking their time up on a busy weekend and they said they were sorry to have bothered us, and that if they werent on duty they would be out drinking and boating with us. they were more than cool. I sent a letter to Rusty Scupper and got a call from the manager, they indeed were sorry for the dockmasters actions and sent a gift certificate, the following weekend we went back and the "homeless guy" had been fired.

This is the best reason I've heard yet for a single guy to get a boat!

THATS IT, you reminded me of one. We had just finished a poker run w/ FL powerboat clud and were on our way ome to NC. We pull out of Miami about 3pm with a 13hr trip ahead of us. I drive the first 200 miles and we stop for diesel. After we fill up, me and two other guys are behind the boat to help my buddy back up. He decides to go forward into a very tight, impossible to turn, space. He slams into the concrete post guarding the gas pump and bends the fender and front axle, breaking the brake line. We towed 600+ miles home on 5 wheels and no brakes towing a 42 Fountain at 75 mph w/ a F350 dually. No problem.
