~ Towing High Speed ~

Man
maybe im a weenie, but i wont tow anything anywhere near that fast. 60-65 is PLENTY fast. too many things can go wrong, and that much more at speed. I think you guys are crazy pulling these trailers 80+. Its dumb in my book. Ive had a couple of close encounters and been able to stop. these trucks are not made to tow 10,000+ at 80 and stop in an emergency.

This is kind of on topic.....
Have a 94 GMC 1500.
Thinking about a little more truck.
I pull a 5500 or so pound 26.
Is a duramax necessary??
I pulled the rig from Milwaukee to Ohio. But the truck wasn't very happy.

04 2500 HD Durmax w/Allison trany, 35 Lightning w/steel Myco dual axle trailer - 75 mph.
Could handle more I'm sure. She handles great, but fast enough for me with approx 12,000lbs.
Love the trany/diesel combo. It acts like I have a jake brake when coming back down through the gears... really saves on the braking.
