A friend is considering a 93 Top Gun with full cabin. Boat has crate 502's with blowers and SSM 3a's. In OK condition, but previous owner hasn't kept it real clean. Engines and drives will be torn down to inspect because we know how the current owner runs the boat. (WOT often, tops out around 80). Currently no known problems. On a decent aluminum trailer......what's a fair price to pay for it?

80mph on 600hp and 3A's??? I don't think so. If this boat has been abused and driven WOT he probably doesn't flush it either. Doesn't sound like a boat I'd want. How much is he asking?

Like Sloman said, make us an offer. We have 48 hrs on our 525SC (single carb. a lot less fuel used). Everything is new in the engine compartment and has always been flushed and well kept. It has a full cabin, swim platform, and even A/C. White dash with new white gauges. It is a carbon fiber lay-up with a Platinum Series paint. The boat runs 76mph on a light load. It must be seen to appreciate. Will make your friend a deal that can't be refused.

No, the boat at Doller has supercharged 468's. And correct, it wasn't a factory 3 boat, but all new parts were put in it and the X-dimension is correct. I should know, we rebuilt the boat.

LS. I considered your boat for me just before you bought it and also showed it to him a few days ago knowing it's for sale. My buddy's looking at a local (freshwater) boat that has been around here awhile. Another guy in our circle owns it. The boat is kept indoors but not scrubbed regularly like most of us would. It's run til something breaks, then gets fixed and run til something breaks (I wouldn't buy it either). He thinks he can get it for $70K-$75K. I suggest he look elsewhere, but he really likes that boat.
Anyway, what is it worth? Assuming a survey doesn't find anything serious.

If it was me looking.....I would look at Lucky's boat. It's clean, taken care of, etc......
I wouldn't buy anything that wasn't taken care of. It will cost you more in the end.
