I dont know phil ..But ive seen some high end boat dealers act like this .. Chase someone away from a boat for one reason or another ..maybe they have someone else they want to sell it to etc ..
" Oh that things a piece of junk you dont want to buy that" ya because some other guy is drooling over it for 40K more .. Its all a game
And obviously phil knows how to play .. just my 2 cents

(All of this for a boat that doesn't cost a 1/4 of the boats he normally sells! and he's not making a cent on the sale)

Ive always said if you want to be succesful in business than dont try and make any money at it ..

Phil is not like that.He will always try to sell you the boat you want,not the one he wants to sell.Also,he never will mislead you just to make a sale.If he doesnt like a boat for what ever reason,he wont sell it.Furthermore,he tells it like it is,whether you like it or not.

Like I said I dont know him and would never knock someone I dont know.. Just generalizing what ive seen done at other marinas.. And honstly I would do the same ..Its business.
As long as you dont mislead someone ..theres no harm

I always thought that is why people go into business.
I had a hard time spending the big pay checks, so I went into business so I would not worry about that anymore.

You are right,there are several dealers that I know of that do just that.Its a shame,but thats the way it is I guess.
