I'm right there with ya, Dono! I'm 37 yrs old and trying to get back into running and working out again. Starting off with a 10K run this Saturday in honor of OSO member, Curt, who passed away in December '03.

Bikini season will be here before ya know it! :evilb: :drink:

I just joined a gym and hitting it 5 times a week. It sucks and takes forever but you look and feel good when you are on your boat in the summer. HA

33 and hit the gym at 5 every morning. I can still outlast my 3 boys (3,6,8) and had more wind than my 18 yr old nephew who plays lacrosse in college!!!!!
Been doing this 4+ years and it can get old. Make sure you mix up your workouts after awhile so you don't get bored.

PS. My wife is a Personal Trainer and already looks HOT! in a bikini.

Man.....My life isn't that bad afterall! :D

Good for you all, I like big girls so I figured I might as well be too. LOL, No time for the gym with a boat I have to work on all the time anyway. Now I have this image on t500hps wife in a bikini in my mind. Damn. I really should go back to the gym someday but I just became a great grandfather last monday. Not sure they will let me in anymore.

After 4 months off with a foot injury and 2 months in the gym, I'm getting ready for a ski trip to Utah. I'm 47 and I've been a Bally's member for 19 years. I actually look forward to going to work out. It bothered me not being able to go. Some of you folks may remember this picture of my foot.

Doing the same thing... I'll be 36 in April and have been hitting the weights and treadmill, since December. Hope I'm ready by May when the shirt comes off. The treadmill has got to be the most boring form of exercise ever, don't mind the weights at all though... :D

I am 32, 15 pounds overweight, and I live in Michigan where it is cloudy 90% of the time (especially in the winter). With the bad weather around here there is nothing to do except work, sleep, and eat. It is very depressing and easy to gain weight at a fast clip, but I have to get in shape for summer.

My wife and I like to call it "Get Into Boat Shape"

i run regularly but only in the winter months. been doing it for years, 3.5 to 4 miles every other night. work out on the off days. funny thing is i only feel comfortable running in the winter at night, dont know why. just always done it that way. in the summer i keep very active and dont have to run as much. im 38 now and am a solid 200lbs most of the time (about 5'10") . when i was younger i went a mushey 240 lbs and it sucked. as i got older i changed my eating habbits and stayed active. feel much better now. actually one of the things i did was stoped drinking milk. by doing that i didnt want the junk food like cookies an stuff, worked pretty good.

I have modified my diet, no more sodas, only drink 2% milk, but only organic, no steroids in it, tastes better lasts longer, I'm 41, and eat smaller portions now. When I got back from vegas, i had way too much blood in my alcohol system so I took a break from drinkin, but beer in the summer......mmmmm beeeer:D

It's interesting that you mentioned you stopped drinking milk. I drink a lot of milk, it's a must with anything sweet, especially chocolate. I just don't know if I could part with my milk. How'd you do it? :D

its funny i have Polish grandparents so as a kid THEY werent happy unless us kids had a fist full of candy an junk food :D after i got my first house at 18 those habbits still stuck with me. in my early 20's i really started packin on the LBS especially after i turned drinkin age :drink:. one day i looked in the cupboard (cheese cake, cookies, capn crunch) looked at my waist line (pushin 40 inches) an decided i needed to change some things, i was really starting to feel out of shape. it was kind of a fluke thing actually, i just stoped buying milk and i really didnt want the junk food without it. and besides you get better calcium and vitimins from other sources anyway. through the years it just kind of stuck with me and i have been able to keep the weight pretty much down. its also about moderation as well. during the week i eat pretty well, dont use condiments like salt, butter, mayonaise or anything like that. usually eat grilled plain chicken breast, brown rice, steamed veggies stuff like that. but on the weekend i toss that out the window and eat whatever the he!! i want :D seems to pan out OK.
