Re: Info on this 28 Apache

yep, i'm picky.just ask jim and doug from saber! i also realize that i looked at it back in 98. maybe someone did repair some or all of it, the point i'm trying to make here is that pat bentley LIED repeatedly about the facts about the boat. we are not talking differences in judging its condition, we are talking about LIES such as "it has about 400 hours" when right there on the hour meters was over 1200!!!!!!. back in 1998!!!! this boat was used AND abused. its to bad really it definately looks good in pictures. at the time i looked at it, it had apparently sat outside in the snow all winter and mildew was everywhere.

some of its problems were not easily repairable such as the significant stress cracking in various spots.

bottom line is i'm just trying to let a buyer know that this boat has had a rough life

Being not takin care of , left out in the winter and only running 70 with 502 twins, I'd say it either needs rebuilds or it's water logged.

Re: Info on this 28 Apache

low 70's is about right.
yes , for a 28 ft. boat they are heavy , which also gives you a very solid ride in nasty water.
another thing , its the biggest 28 ft. boat i know of.
no beak or intigrated swim platform bs on these boats.
until you see one or ride in one , its hard to understand how big they are.
they were NOT designed for smooth lake boating.
