Default Kilo run dates are set

For those of you that don't read Extreme Boats Magazine, there's a full page ad in this months issue inviting the fastest of the fast to an elite kilo run. This is not for offshore race boats, rather poker run and pleasure boats with all the comforts.

It's an APBA-UIM sanctioned event and records will be set in four new classes.

Performance Yacht mono - Gas
Performance Yacht cat - Gas
Performance Yacht mono - Turbine
Performance Yacht cat - Turbine

The kilo will be held on April 21 and 22 on Lake Crescent in Crescent City Florida. It's sponsored by AMF Racing, Extreme Boats Magazine and Turbine Marine Inc.

Hopefully, Dave Callan's new boat will be done in time and Bob Russell has shown interest in running there too, plus plenty of turbine boats.

More info and registration forms can be found at www.amfoffshoreracing.com.

It should be a few fun days, see ya there!!!!!

There will be a non sanctioned "run what you brung" day on Friday for anyone who want to see how fast their boat. It will have the full Kilo setup with officials from Region 11 and safety teams including helocopter. Awards and trophies for the fastest. All boats must meet minimum safety requirements and rules and registration info is in the ad or check out www.amfoffshoreracing.com.
Like a LOTO shootout with Kilo timing equipment

Performance Yachts will attempt APBA/UIM records as well as Bass Boats and Pontoon boats

This event is not in any way associated with SBI/APBA offshore and no official records will be set by offshore boats

Crescent City is about 30 miles west of Daytona Beach, FL. The lake is
2 miles wide and 14 miles long and brackish.

Sean, I have not been there yet.
Details are being finalized for Ken Warby "the fastest man on water" www.kenwarby.com to be there as a celebrity guest.
Ken is used to speeds in excess of 300mph so this may bore him a bit
