Really. I haven't laughed OUT LOUD in probably two weeks.
Well done.
I no longer think that you and JCPERF are gay on each other.
That was WICKED funny, even if you don't own a F-bomb.

I won't buy a brand new boat, I don't have the cash to get what I want in a new boat and I can't stand taking that big hit. Yes it takes longer to find a used one to be set like you want. I looked for a year and a half for the boat i have now. My boat new now would be over a mil. I spent 250K you can't even get a loaded up 42 Fountain with big power for that much, plus I won't loose as much when I sell, My boat has already taken it's big hit. But it still looks like new.

I was more making a remark to Nascar with the( I wouldn't buy a Dodge either), but I wouldn't go buy the Ford or Chevy they run in Nascar either, Just because it's wins on Sunday. The boat racing is the same way to me. I could care less who wins as long as it's fun to watch I'm happy.

Something for you "gold standard" Fountain guys to think about....
Is it possible that there are a lot of comparisons because Fountain produces so many boats at so many lengths?
That would be my answer to your question...

i wasn't making the statement to toot the horn for Fountain are against, rather making the point that Fountains seem to be in the comparison arena more then others. I was making more of a sarcastic joke toward the mines better than yours mentality's. People that know me know that i appreciate and love all the offshore boats regardless of brands. I am just as interested in looking at older scarabs and chriscrafts and cigarette and fountains as i am at looking at million dollar show pieces, as it is said somewhere on this board " For the love of the sport "

Boats are mearly an extension of the Man behind the wheel ....
Fountain's were controversial when they came out ,,,, with an attitude to match .......... Heck, who isn't into that these day's .............
All the bad publicity only made them more elict ...... Hell, you gotta have one ............. LOL...
On a serious note though .......
I think their very well built ....... and do run like hell ..........
