All the talk on car & truck forums / boards is positive.

I read in the archives that Redline Shock Proof Heavy was the best way to go. Is Amsoil better?

Been running Amsoil AGL 80W-90 for years. It's still available, just bought a gallon this month.

Re: Driv OIL/ Amasoil anyone use it??
I ran the Redline Shockproof Heavy. I have to say one thing about the Redline is that it clings to what ever it contacts with.
I have since switched to Amsoil, at the recommendation of my drive specialist, when I purchased a new XR. There is a new thread in Tech Q&A in regards to the new Amsoil product. At any rate, there are at least four different lubes from four different manufacturers that are great products. Check out the thread. |

The Amsoil is cheaper then the Merc. stuff go fiqure..

Re: Driv OIL/ Amasoil anyone use it??
We run amsoil. Had a friend that developed a water leak into his drive last season. He ran that way for 35 hours (duh, don't even ask why). But when we looked at his fill container it was light chocolate colored.
Tore down his drive this winter and replaced the bad seal. There was no damage to his drive. He is glad he was running amsoil, and will forever now. |
Re: Driv OIL/ Amasoil anyone use it??
Does running non merc lube do anything to the warranty if there is a claim?
|
Re: Driv OIL/ Amasoil anyone use it??
It will void your warranty......If your warranty period is up then use what ever you want
