Ouch James!

BTW - I tried the "Throttle-Up" 30's that you had problems with. My engines run identical with them. Maybe the blade cupping works on my boat and not yours?

Re: 37 AT Prop Test Results

I'm just trying to understand these results.

You went 87 @ 5800 with not new 30 Bravo four blades and 84 @ 5300 with 30 Maximus five blades. Then with 1" spacers you went 89 @ 5600 with new 30 Bravo four blades.

So the spacers reduced slip and gave more speed even though there was more gearcase in the water. The five blades without the spacer also reduced slip but decreased speed, even though there was no more gearcase in the water.

Does this mean the five blades had too much blade area for this application?

Help us to understand these mysteries oh mighty Prop Gods! :(

2) 31 work bravo's "from Throttle Up" 5500&5800/ 78mph
Something was terrible wrong with on of these props had major slip out of the hole and one ran 400 rpm more than the other.

3) 32 stock bravo's "new" 5550 rpm 86.8 mph

4) 33 labbed Mercury "new" 5600 rpm 87.2mph

5) 30 Mercury 5 Blades "new" 5300rpm 84mph

Over all the Stock 32's were the best, cruise was up by 3 mph and hole shot great.

The 5 blades were 6 mph faster at 3000rpm than the 32's

Going to have my 30's worked into 31's and should be the perfect setup.

Any suggestion's??

I've got a set of 28 labbed five's for sale, might be your prop.

Re: 37 AT Prop Test Results

If you would work out some kind of test demo for me I would pay shipping and if they worked and would purchase them. I am a little scared of them, about hurting the drive????
I am good friends with Linster, I think you know him.

Let me know, thanks
James

I spoke with Julie at Thottle Up(great help :D ) and she was the one that suggested the drive spacer, after running with the spacer the 30 bravos, my slip went from 24% to 14%. I am going to be running my old 30's this weekend to find out what they do.
Will keep updated.

Damn James, that sucks. Are you going to put new lowers on or get those fixed?

I just read an email from one of our members. Hit something running across Broad Bay and took out his outdrive. :(

Nice wheels prick. :D :D :D

First I get an Active Thunder. Then Rich gets an Active Thunder. Then its mudflaps and accessories for the truck.
Then I pick out nice wheels and tires, and Rich takes them from the shop I bought them from before I can figure out a way to get them to fit on my truck. I already know what I get to have that you will NEVER get to have, so we'll just see what is next.

Thanks for all the BLING!!! but now back to the regularly scheduled thread...........

I took the Gill exhuast off and putting CMI's on this Friday night, doing some testing this weekend, should I get any more performance? Also on the install moved the outlets from above the swim platform to below with some help from Linster.

Seemed like all I did was drink your beer and watch John work. Not a bad day for me. Can't wait to see how the holes get patched. When is it suppose to be done? I have to go to Nautical and could slide by Joe's to look at it.
