Dean, If ya want primo parking you gotta be early...we get there Thursday or friday night. If ya go out late the cops just hang out in the "run" of the Glen.We get there about dark and and look for the trouble makers....lol.
If ya just wanna hang out druing the day you might be able to walk through the shore side and you will definitly be able to idle through the channel side. The lake gets crowded but there is a so-called channel between the boats were you can idle through to get iun the Glen.I can't stand the lake for any amount fo extended time...too much riff-raff...the cops don;t care and it shows.

Thanks for the info. When you said idle thru to get to the glen, does that mean I could idle into and back out of the glen, say around noon? Are you going, if you get the "Beast" to idle?

Here's my breakdown..
1.Carb R&R
2..Clean entire thing
3...ANOTHER Headunit and set of amps..I bought a Vette over the winter and it got the good stuff outta the boat.
4....Fix whatever else broke that I have no idea about...
You won't have any problems at all idling through at anytime..It's just the "parking" will be limited to the not so good areas.Which works for some but I tend to like a little more action than rest..Plus I don't leave once I moor up.
Have you not been to the Glen?....what are ya floatin there in?

Shor,
Sounds cool, as long as I can Idle in and find a place to park, I'll have the family with me, so the "PG-13" side of the glen will be better this time. I was there back in 91', in a 21' Hydrostream. Went with some people from St. Cloud. Never made it into the Glen, just sat out by the inlet.
This year we will be in our new boat, 35' Nordic Flame, see attached Pic.

I'd be careful even idling in there in that big of a boat. I was nervous when I took my 18 CC up there on July 3rd. People are swimming all over the place. I'd NEVER even attempt to take my 302 with the surface drives up there. I'd have a people blender.

Gator 1, I saw your boat yesterday at John's shop. He was showing me the air activated crash boxes for it. Very trick.

Cuda,
Thanks for the warning. We'll see what it's like when we get up there around 12. It's not imperative that we hang out in the glen, we will probobly go north of lake george exploring also.
It's going to be a GREAT TIME!

Dean, there are a lot of bigger boats than mine or yours up in there, it's just that I am probably an over cautious boater. You might be ok with going through there.
