Power Steering Pump Question
Just de-winterized and put the boat in the water this past weekend and noticed power steering fluid over flowing the reservoir. Power steering was working properly when stored for the winter.
Have '02 575 SCs, 150 hours. Marine Machine external steering. Boat sat from mid November to this past weekend in a controlled, 60 degree building.
It appears the reservoir is back filling then over flowing about 4-5 teaspoons of fluid when under operation. Fluid is free of air bubbles. I removed some of the fluid from the reservoir and under operation it did over flow again, not as much fluid. The fluid is not hot/over heating.
Is there anything I can check for or does this mean I should just replace the power steering pump? Thanks for any thoughts on this.
