Default Best Battery?

Was looking at Optima blue top and sears Die Hard gold? I have a single battery now with battery tender, We don’t play the stereo for hours but do have a 12v cooler and use a 12v air compressor to blow up tubs for the kids. Any thoughts?

The next battery I buy will be a Deka. My boat has three batteries. When I bought it, it had a mix of batteries one was a Deka. That was 4 years ago and the Deka battery is still good, while I have replaced the other ones twice since.

Sears top of the line Diehard...bring it in every season for a test and they will ususally give you a new one for free or a small service charge..very generous on their warranty.

I run nothing but Optimas in my boat and truck. They have tons of cranking amps and reserve power with absolutely no maintenance. Never heard of a Deka, are they gel cell like optima's? What kind of warranty do the come with? You can get the blue Optima's at Costco now, they also dont have any way of testing them so just take them back every year and get a new one.........

What should I be paying for the Optima blue top? I just noticed Sears started selling them for $130.00?

Thats a good price, I think Costco has them for around 140.00. Retail can be as much as 170.00 in some stores.
