i have a 77 28ss cig with merc II trans what type of trans fluid should i be using dextron or type F. I know the transmissions have ford clutch plates and planetary gears.

I run B&M Trickshift Fluid in My MercII Trans 77 Cigarette/TRS.

Type F.....i have been told theres more detergent in the type F so the clutches have a better "grip" to each other. When I had my Velvet Drives done they said only type F.
