TRS Outdrive Blue Prints

Does any one have the blue prints for the upper and or lower gear shimming tools for the TRS outdrives? :evilb:

I have the shim tools for the upper.I could draw you a hand sketch.
I would also like to have drawings for the lower tools so I could make them.Maybe someone has a set of lower tools that You or I could borrow and reverse engineer.

TRS Outdrive Blue Prints

recently I had the luck to find a cheap and brand new TRS gear housing.

The gentlemen who sold it owns a lot of special Mercruiser tools and understandably he wants to keep them.

So we measured the dimensions of the TRS gear housing shimming tool (see attached sketch)

Anyway as the accuracy of the micrometer was questionable I would appreciate if somebody could confirm the value of the smaller diameter with 2,213" (56,21 mm).

Large diameter of tool ± 4,3" (109,22 mm) can be machined acc. to measurement of diameter that guides the bearing carrier inside the housing.
