HP500 EFI Components Needed
I do not see a "wanted" section any longer so I thought I would post here...
I recently acquired an AZ Speed fuel injection intake and plenum from a Volvo Penta.
So, I am hoping to piece together the rest of the parts to convert my 502MPI into a HP500 EFI.
On my shopping list are the 58mm throttle body and the cam shaft from a Merc 500EFI...
If there is a good deal out there for a set of fuel injectors and an ECU with the right program, I'm also interested...
Thanks,

Check with Dave (Dave N)at Platinum Marine in Costa Mesa CA. His specialty is engine management systems and he's OSO member.
Arizona Speed folks are good to work especailly as far as getting technical support.

What about the lifters, pushrods, valve springs, roller rockers, rocker head studs, pistons, bigger valves, and other parts that really make up the HP500?

My engine is a Gen VI roller engine and I have been told buy two engine builders that the stock roller lifters and push rods will work fine with the 500EFI cam. I do plan to buy new valve springs, roller rockers, and conversion studs. The pistons do not have to be changed and my heads already have stainless intake & inconel exhaust valves...
Should I also buy some blue paint so it will look like yours too?

That should make a nice package for you!

For springs, the Comp 929-16's are a good set to go with. Isky also makes some good ones (don't remember the number).
If you go with the Crane gold rockers, and some others, you will need to grind the backside of one down on each side for clearance, and will need to modify the valve covers. This is not too bad to do. Of course, there are aftermarket larger covers, but some of these can interfere with your exhaust system, depending on which you use.
Best,
Kent
