Default Raising your X....

Can you raise your X dimension with out having to glass in the transom and start over? Whats the job take? raise the engine motor mounts and the drives..... I have off shore Gil mounts are they a biotch to move? I was told I can get several MPH on my 94 Sonic if I raise my "X" 2 inches and run 4 blade props.....

Get a shorty drive and leave the transum alone. It's alot easier now than it was a few yaers back. Buy a 2" shorty then if you need, space it down. Dave Warden

Other than reglassing the transom, you could put Imco shorty lowers on your bravos.

Cut the whole on the transom bigger and move the transom plate up, then use spray foam to seal it at the bottom

I put on a 2" Shortie and my shaft is still an inch too deep.

If I buy an empty 2" shortie case, does the original Bravo One parts fit or is something different? I assume that the shaft between lower and upper needs to be replaced with a shorter one?!

Sounds like to much work to raise the X. Spend the money on some new 5 or 6 blade hydromotives!
