what type of hose fitting is this?
All of the oil hoses for the oil cooler and remote filter use a female fitting like this? If you can't tell from the pic, the chamfer (sealing area) is higher in the center.......backwards from an AN fitting. And, the male hose end has a corresponding chamfer..........also backwards from AN.
I'd switch everything over to NPT or AN, but the remote filter adapter on the block has a female fitting machined into it and I'd have to pull the motor to replace it.
who makes hoses like this? What's the fitting name?

Re: what type of hose fitting is this?
PatriYacht,
I figured it was inverted flare like a brake fitting, but I've never seen fittings that large and I can't seem to find any 3/4NPT to inverted flare adapters.
The hose end has a single flare (chamfer) machined on the I.D. of the end. I think a local tractor supply shop may be able to make me some custom length hoses for a oil thermostat install.

Not sure what its called, but a friend just went through a similar problem. He needed the hose from the power steering pump to go through a filter for his Full Hydro setup. the stock hose had a fitting like that and the filter was a regular NPT. He looked all over hope depot, lowes, hardware stores and couldnt find any adapter. So I took him to a hydraulic hose shop. Colliflowers, I think it might be a chain. We were in and out in 5 minutes and the adapter was less that $5.

Yep, inverted flair, big too!
Look up hydraulics in the yellow pages. Any Parker distributor will be able to set you up.

Stingray,
Boat is an '89 Warlock. The motor may / may NOT be the original one. I looked at the CAD files for fittings from Parker, and found one that is real close to matching the ones I have now, but not close enough. SAE inverted flare.
