As far as I know the bronze color is made into the canopie. I have polished mine with star brite plastic scratch remover with very good results. If you need one I have a new in the crate F16 canopie for sale.

That's an ITO coating to stop EMI emissions and it's done in a complicated machine at a enormous cost. There were several varieties of these canopies - some had an acrylic outer ply that you can sand and polish. If it's a coated polycarbonate it may be a problem. I don't recall if the ITO coating is inside or outside but it's probable that it will have an exterior hardcoating. If so perhaps you should try out a system in an unobtrusive area to see what works - We have had good results on bare polycarbonate with Surface Magic - very fine grit sandpapers that are used to take out the yellowing in 1980's car headlights - or by flaming it. I'm not sure that it would work with a harcoated system. Check to see if there is a very fine line in the edge of your canopy that will determine if it's monolithic or made of plies.

I looked at the Micromesh site and while they have a wealth of information in their technical section, you'll notice that they stay away from using their system on plycarbonate. It's all geared to acrylics.
