The Eagle rods our factory stock/sportsman circle track racers had fail were the sir's,not the eagle 3'ds. These motors are limited in mods and only make 300-450hp,stock rods w/good bolts rarely failed in these same applications,. I'm sure the stronger 690 gram 3'ds would have lasted forever in same application but everyone was looking too much at that extra 100 grams swinging around around as too heavy. We had good sponsers :D and ran manley tour lites at 524 grams,never failed,Smitty
