Delay in Shifting to Forward ???
I'm trying to help a friend with a 01' pre XR Bravo 1
The drive drops into reverse instantly but hesitates sometimes over five minutes or more to fall into forward gear. No noise or grinding just delay.
I've heard stories this could be grease hydraulicing in the shift detent.
Thanks in advance for any help before we pull the drive.

Re: Delay in Shifting to Forward ???
Sounds like its out of adjustment although 5 minutes is a lot of time. Try adjusting top cable from shifter to give yourself more forward. Being out of adjustment will cause a delay going into gear on bravos.

We have been going thru the same thing on a buddy's drive. He finally changed the clutch cone and it now drops in immediately.
The ribs were worn down in the forward direction and it to would hesitate for several minutes.
$225 and about an hour labor
