Mine sees 20PSI at around 800rpm on the mech gauge I have running of the filter pad but that's when the motor is cold.
My elec sender in the block doesn't seem to like to read down that low so I've ordered a new one.

Whippledmach, do you know what your air/fuel ratio's are? Make sure you are safe or your engine will melt. At that hp level you should use an oil cooler with a 3 x 18 inch element.

A long 2 or 3 inch 3/8 bolt will thread right in to it and them just pull it and wiggle it out

Removed and blocked with I think a 20mm welsh plug from memory. Don't just remove it (obviously).

This is what I have done on my gen 6 block

I removed the outer bypass and installed a 20mm plug
and staked it in 4 places as shown in an earlier pic



I also removed the inner bypass located under the threaded adapter and left it out( the passage under the center bypass leads to the 3/8 fittings on the pan rail, mine are plugged, so leaving the center bypass out has no effect)

I'm going to use a REX marine adapter 456-412 that attaches
with the two 5/16 threaded holes on the filter pad, this requires the removal of the threaded center adapter

Fred I used a slide hammer, You can use anything with a hook
on it and just pull it out.
