Same conclusion I have come to. Turning mine 5600-5700, over the top of torque peak by 400-500rpm. I know I could go faster with a bigger prop, but hey, the acceleration is awesome.

Will these survive for 500 hrs? Most aluminum rods have a short life span.

According to the Dept of Energy in Oakridge, TN they will survive at least 100K miles. Several gas and diesel OEMs are talking to Jager about this technology. You don't need bearings with these either.

They look like Eagle ESP rods
Heat treated stress relieved certified 4340steel 2-piece rod.
The 3-D stroker design offeres less weight and same strength.
Just a guess

There from a ford 5.4 gt40 motor. It was ran at wot for 100 hours then thrown away. The main saddles in the aluminum block got tore up a little. Some lucky SOB working at ford got a hold of it. I guess the gt40 is the ferrairi looking car with dual ohc and innercooled supercharger. Heres some pics, the rods caught my eye because they are cut down to a vee on the top where the pin goes thru,Smitty
