Default Heads for 406" SB

Hello from Sweden..

I'm looking for good cylinder heads for my 406" SB. I would like to get around +400hp @ 5000 rpm with a flat tappet hydraulic camshaft. What heads do you recommend? WP Sportsman II, Dart Iron Eagle (180, 200), Vortec? I only run in freshwater so even aluminium heads is possible (Trickflow, Edelbrock...)

The Vortec heads seem to work well, however I will need to change valvesprings to support higher lift and a new intake. When this is done, I have spent as much money as a pair of Iron Eagle heads or Sportsman heads cost.

So should I go for the Vortec heads or for something with larger intake runners? Out of the box the Vortec heads seem to flow just as well as the Sportsman II head, but I imagine that the Vortec will give better low end torque.

Suggestions of a good head and camshaft combo for my engine would be appreciated.

/Freddie

GM Fastburn Heads......Also I think GM sells a "HOT" Vortec setup with heads already setup with screw in studs and springs for highlift cams.....I think I saw them in the Jegs catalogs.....
